Im Photostudio

Letzten Sonntag habe ich das erste Mal aktiv als Photograph Studio-Luft geschnuppert. Giacomo, Jan Manuel, Teymur und ich haben ich uns für einen Nachmittag das große Artlight Studio in Leichlingen gemietet, Wendy hat sich freundlicherweise dazu bereit erklärt, das Styling zu übernehmen und als Model konnten wir Svitlana für uns gewinnen. Teymur ist ja Photograph in Köln, wie anderen drei waren doch absolute Studio-N00bs und ich rechne Svitlana ihre Geduld mit uns hoch an.

Wir alle hatten großen Spaß an der Sache und ich denke, für keinen von uns war es das letzte Shooting in einem Studio – allein die Blitze sind einfach so sehr der Hammer, am liebsten hätte ich die direkt mitgenommen. Ich könnte mir schon vorstellen, mal den einen oder anderen Workshop auch in diesem Studio mitzumachen. Das ganze Set kann man bei Flickr bewundern.

Fashion shoot

Yesterday Wendy took me with her to one of her fashion shoots, even though she was a bit reluctant about it.

And what a jolly good time I had there. Seriously, I had a hard time not to laugh all the time – the studio was so according to any stereotype with all the white things, all the equipment and of course the hipster dance music blaring loudly all the time. Not to forget the posters of certain “important” events on the walls of the small dressing/makeup room.

The model, a young woman from Slovakia, was actually quite cute – surprisingly less in her looks than in her way to speak and act. Around her about eight to ten persons were prancing around, everybody with the air of importance and apart from the photographer, the makeup person and the stylist, without any hint of usefulness.

A real treat and oh so funny. Except for the poor model, who had parts of the jewellery taped to her skin and must have been in terrible agony, when they removed that.

Carmen Kass

Top-Model Carmen Kass ist bereit ihre Laufstegkarriere für die Politik zu opfern. Die 25-jährige Estin hat bekannt gegeben, dass sie überlegt, sich für die Wahlen zum Europa Parlament im Juni aufstellen zu lassen. Die nötigen Grundlagen hierfür hat sie mit ihrem Beitritt in die Partei Res Publica gelegt, deren Vorsitz Premierminister Juhan Parts inne hat. „Ich möchte Politik machen, weil ich Estland etwas zurück geben möchte“, sagte Kass dem Nachrichtendienst AP.
